Deja Discord Part 9: Dizzy Memories, part II
As the two ponies broke the embrace, Twilight Sparkle thought for a moment. Discord wondered what she was thinking about. She finally said aloud, "I know this would be a bad time to ask, but what exactly did your reign rule the regions with?"
Discord was slightly taken aback from this. She wanted to know the truth behind his rule? "Very well then, Twilight Sparkle, you shall know of my ruling as king. But you must promise me that you will not mention a WORD from Celestia's book, am I clear?" Twilight nodded eagerly, and sat down.
Suddenly, Pinkie Pie jumped out from behind her. "Ooh! Story time!" She cheered. She hopped over to Twilight's front door. "Come on in, girls! Uncle Dizzy's gonna tell us a story!" All of the Element Bearers were present. 'This should be good,' Discord thought.
He cleared his throat. "Anyway, this is the true and honest viewpoint of my reign of Equestria. It all started back when I was just a lad...
Discord sat in the throne of King Jupiter. He knew he wasn't supposed to, but what were they to do? The king and queen were off on some important political response. 'I never understood politics', Discord scoffed. He stretched, his long, twisted body resting comfortably in the large chair.
He soon left the comfort of his chair to go spy on his adopted family. His two sisters, Celestia and Luna, were at the door, eagerly awaiting the cart that should be pulling up any moment now.
Together, they waited. And waited. And waited.
The cart never came back. Celestia comforted her crying sister. "M-maybe they had some last-minute meetings," she said. Discord wondered as to where they were too. He stood out on the balcony, standing like a statue (imagine the irony there, my little ponies!).
He soon spotted it: The royal family's personal carriage. Discord felt both relief and slight annoyance. He woke up Celestia and Luna.
"They're here!" he shouted. They both shot out of bed, and all three ran to the large front door. The carriage had arrived alright, but something was off. It looked like it had been half-eaten by a dragon.
The two guards pulling the cart walked over to the young Princesses. The first guard spoke up. "Alert the medical department, the King and Queen have been... injured," He ordered. The sisters gasped, but did so.
A few hours later, King Jupiter and Queen Faust, the two strongest alicorns known, were lying in hospital beds, hooked up to various equipment. Discord looked from one to the other. He wasn't sure if he should laugh or cry. Celestia, on the other hand, had chosen the latter. Luna just stood in the corner, weeping to herself.
A few days later, the medic came to Discord, who had been lounging all this time in the throne. "Master Discord, I have some news," he stuttered. Discord smiled. "Oh what is it? Did one of the guards slip on the soap roads and break his leg?" The medic looked unsure of the look on Discord's face. "No, sir, it's about the king and queen." Discord sighed. "Oh, what about them? If it's so important that you need to disrupt me, then they better be dying!"
Discord never meant it to be true. It was just a light-hearted joke. But there they were, the King and Queen, dying in front of them. Luna cried. "Mommy! You can't leave! Not now!" Celestia looked away. She couldn't bear to see them. Discord seemed to suffer the most. He was going through so many emotions.
At last, the medic came in. "I'm sorry, but it's time." The two sisters left the room, saying their last 'I love you's'. Discord stayed. "Oh, may I? The king trusted me very much, like a son. It would be wrong for me not to do this." The medic hesitantly nodded.
Discord leaned over to the equipment keeping the two alicorns barely clinging to life. He frowned, tears welling in his eyes. He looked at King Jupiter, then at Queen Faust. "Long live King Discord."
He pulled the cords, and a long droning sound rang out from the equipment, signifying the fact that they were indeed dead.
